We are looking for a Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our growing team in Derby, who has previous experience of working with Children with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties.
Our home is currently Ofsted rated as "Good" and we care for 3 Young People aged between 8 and 18 with EBD care needs.
Our ideal candidate will be involved in shaping and delivering the residential home’s Statement of Purpose, and supporting the registered manager, deputy manager and the residential support workers to achieve the same.
And be expected to provide high quality care services that support the needs of children and young people, be an advocate for their well-being, and provide strong, motivational leadership to the team.
This candidate must have sound knowledge of the Quality Care Standards that govern Children’s Residential settings and have the skills and qualities needed in providing the high quality of care to the Children residing at the home.
The Candidate
Previous experience within a Children’s residential home setting is essential.
Candidate must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
Candidate must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People Workforce.
Some of the duties and responsibilities held by the successful candidate include:
Supporting young people in their day-to-day routines.
Completing and maintaining administrative records as required by the home.
Providing a positive role model for the young people.
Developing and maintaining professional working relationships.
Please note
This position requires sleep-ins and work hours are across 7 days on a rota basis.
