Children’s Home Registered Manager
£31,000 (Negotiable for the right candidate)
Dolphin Personnel are looking for a Registered Manager to join one of our most prestigious clients in the Gloucester area.
The home is a 4 bed provision predominantly EBD. The home has high levels of input and support from a clinical psychologist team and there is an established model of care, based around trauma and attachment issues. The age of the young people are between 8-18 years.
Must have previous experience within a Children’s Residential setting within a managerial role and have previously been OFSTED rated “GOOD” and above.
Must have a recognised social work qualification or professional qualification relevant to working with children at a Level 4 as well as a qualification in management at Level 4.
To act as a primary interface between the clients, CSSIW, placing authorities and your place of work. A professional attitude and approach must be insisted upon at all times.
To ensure that the unit remains in the highest standard of presentation.
Show respect for and value all members of the staff team and the service users at all times.
Create an environment which meets the physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, cultural and sexual needs both individually and as a group.
To ensure the environment within the units offers sufficient stimulation and guidance of leisure pursuits, together with an opportunity for personal, social and intellectual development.
Promote equality for all the individuals.
Maintain occupancy rates for the satisfaction of the board of directors.
Manage the financial budgets for your unit of responsibility.
To ensure that the service users in your care are encourage to participate as fully as possible in decisions affecting their lives, acting as or appointing a key worker where appropriate.
To participate in all areas of decision making in relation to the people in your care.
Be an advocate for each individual and to ensure that their rights and choices are recognised and respected.
Contribute to the on going support of each young person and those significant to him or her.
Contribute to the protection of all individuals from any form of abuse. Any concerns must be immediately brought to the attention of the board of directors.
To provide a model for the client in behaviour and relationships with others.
Staff Focused Responsibilities
Undertake any training required by the board of directors, which will enable you to keep abreast of changes in legislation and to maintain a high standard of care.
To participate in the recruitment and selection process of new staff. Also to participate in the induction process of new staff.
To ensure all the staff team are trained to a high standard and are competent in all areas of their roles.
To understand and comply with all policies and procedures relating to the home and to ensure all as necessary implements them.
Ensure all the staff team receive monthly supervision sessions and annual appraisals in line with current legislation.
